Contractor X-Dates

Draft, not legal advice

Terms of service

Last updated October 12, 2026

What you get

Contractor X-Dates sends a weekly digest and CSV built from public records published by the California Contractors State License Board, the Washington Department of Labor & Industries, the Oregon Construction Contractors Board and Department of Consumer and Business Services, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, State Board of Plumbing Examiners and Division of Workers’ Compensation. We aren’t affiliated with any of them.

Accuracy

We copy what the boards publish. Their records can be late, incomplete or wrong, and so can ours. Confirm coverage, carriers and dates with the contractor before you quote or bind. The service is provided as is, without warranties.

How you may use the data

  • For business-to-business prospecting about commercial insurance and surety bonds.
  • Follow the telemarketing rules that apply to you, including the National Do Not Call Registry and your own do-not-call list. Many sole proprietors list a personal phone.
  • Don’t resell, publish or share the digests or CSVs outside your agency.
  • Don’t use the data to market to consumers.

Plans and billing

  • The free sample covers one county and one trade, once, and is limited to one per email address every 30 days.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until you cancel. Canceling stops the next renewal.
  • County Exclusive is one agency per county per trade. While that subscription is active, State-plan digests and free samples never include contractors in your county and trade. A contractor licensed in several trades can also appear for another agency’s County Exclusive in a different trade.
  • The State plan covers every county and trade in one state, except territories reserved by a County Exclusive agency.

Your links

Digests and your account open from private links in our emails. Anyone with a link can see what it opens, so don’t forward them outside your agency.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.
