How it works
Public records, pulled daily, sent weekly
- 01
Pulled daily from the states
Every morning at 4:00 Pacific we download California CSLB's license, workers' comp and bond files, Washington L&I's contractor insurance, bond and license data, Oregon CCB's active licenses, Texas TDLR and plumbing-board licenses, and the Oregon and Texas workers' comp coverage files.
- 02
Checked every day
After each pull we work out which policies come due in 30 to 120 days, which bonds cancel in the next 45 days, and which licenses were just suspended or issued.
- 03
In your inbox Monday morning
By 5:30 a.m. Pacific you get the week for your counties and trades: the first 25 rows of each section in the email and on the web, every row in the CSV.

What each section counts
California, Oregon and Texas publish workers’ comp carriers and dates, with the premium in Texas. Washington and Oregon publish liability insurers, and so does Texas for plumbers. Washington also names the incumbent agency.
| Section | What counts |
|---|---|
| Workers' comp renewal | An uncanceled policy expiring 30 to 120 days out, unless a later policy is already on file |
| Liability renewal | The same, for liability policies where the state publishes them |
| Bond cancellation | A license bond with a cancellation date in the next 45 days, unless another bond already covers that date |
| New suspension | A license whose status changed to suspended in the last 7 days |
| New license | A license issued in the last 7 days |
What you get
A short report you can work from
Each section lists the contractor, license, trade, location, published phone, the date that matters and the current carrier. Sort any column on the web, or take the CSV into your CRM.

Questions
Sources, freshness and fair use
Where does the data come from?
Public state records: the California Contractors State License Board’s data portal (license master, workers’ comp and bond files), Washington Labor & Industries’ contractor datasets on data.wa.gov (insurance, bonds and licenses), the Oregon Construction Contractors Board’s active-license dataset and the state’s workers’ comp employer database on data.oregon.gov, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation’s contractor licenses and the Division of Workers’ Compensation’s coverage file on data.texas.gov, plus the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners’ master plumber list.
How fresh is it?
We download each source once a day, around 4:00 a.m. Pacific, and build the Monday digest at 5:30 a.m. Pacific from that morning’s download. The boards refresh their files daily, Washington several times a day; Oregon’s workers’ comp file is updated monthly.
Which renewals does each state have?
California’s board publishes each contractor’s workers’ comp carrier and policy dates. Washington’s workers’ comp is a state fund, so the renewals worth knowing there are the liability policies L&I publishes, along with the incumbent agency. Oregon’s board lists each contractor’s liability insurer and expiration date, and the state’s workers’ comp file adds the carrier and renewal date for contractors with employees. Texas licenses electrical, A/C, plumbing, sign and elevator contractors, not general contractors or roofers; for those trades the state’s workers’ comp file gives the carrier, renewal date and premium, and the plumbing board lists each master plumber’s liability insurer.
Are there email addresses?
No. The boards don’t publish email addresses, so neither do we. Each row has the business phone the board publishes, plus city, county and ZIP.
How may I use the list?
For business-to-business prospecting about commercial insurance and surety bonds. Many sole proprietors list a personal cell phone, so check numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry and your own do-not-call list before you call, and follow federal and state telemarketing rules. Don’t resell the data.
What does County Exclusive mean?
One agency per county per trade. While you hold, say, Los Angeles County · C-36 Plumbing, State-plan digests and free samples never include contractors in your county and trade. A contractor licensed in several trades can also appear for another agency’s County Exclusive in a different trade.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Plans are month to month and billed through Stripe. Manage or cancel from your account page.
